Understanding older adults’ smartphone addiction in the digital age: empirical evidence from China

Background Despite the fact that an increasing number of older adults are addicted to smartphones, existing addiction literature still focuses primarily on adolescents. To address this issue, study draws from perspectives subjective cognitive decline and family relationship conflict examine adults’ smartphone based their key characteristics. Methods This investigates effects through a survey 371 subjects in China. Results The results show affect sense alienation. In addition, perceived power moderates between alienation addiction. Discussion offers new perspective adults, sheds light how improve quality life later years.
